TradePulse is operated as a sole proprietorship by Greg Hansen, based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. Your password is not shared with us in this case.
Business profile information
Information you choose to provide: business name, phone number, company logo, and payment link.
Customer data
Information you enter when creating estimates: customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, and job addresses. This data belongs to you. We store it on your behalf so you can access your estimates.
Usage data
We use PostHog to collect product analytics about how the app is used, such as pages visited, features used and session length. When you're signed in, this analytics data is linked to your account, including your email address, so we can understand how TradePulse is used and improve it. We use Sentry to collect error reports when the app crashes or behaves unexpectedly, so we can diagnose and fix problems. We use your approximate location, derived from your IP address, to determine whether to display Canadian-specific content on our marketing pages. We do not store this location data.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your credit card number or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
QuickBooks Online information (optional, Pro)
If you connect QuickBooks Online, Intuit provides TradePulse with an authorization grant and the identifier for the QuickBooks company you connected. We store the grant tokens and company identifier encrypted. We also store the QuickBooks item and tax codes you select during setup.
When you create a QuickBooks invoice from a TradePulse estimate, TradePulse reads the connected company's settings, service items, tax codes, and matching customer records. If you confirm a new customer, TradePulse creates that customer in QuickBooks and then creates one invoice. If an export is interrupted or its outcome is uncertain, TradePulse also reads the invoices QuickBooks created in the relevant time window and checks their invoice identifiers and numbers, customer identifiers and names, totals, creation times, and private notes. This lets TradePulse determine whether the invoice was already created before it tries again. We store a record of the export, including the QuickBooks invoice identifier, invoice number when returned, totals, and the request used to create it so we can recover safely from interruptions and avoid duplicate invoices.
We use QuickBooks data only to provide and support this integration. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, send it to AI providers, or share it with other customers. Disconnecting QuickBooks removes the stored connection from TradePulse and attempts to revoke the grant with Intuit. Disconnecting does not delete the export records described above, including their encrypted QuickBooks company identifier. Those records stay with the estimate until you delete that estimate or your TradePulse account. If you disconnect from inside QuickBooks, TradePulse removes its stored connection the next time it finds that the grant has been revoked. Deleting your TradePulse account deletes the QuickBooks connection and integration records stored with your business and also attempts to revoke any stored Intuit grant.
Photos
If you use the camera or photo upload feature on an estimate, those photos are sent to Anthropic for AI analysis and are not stored by TradePulse. If you choose to attach photos to a saved estimate instead, those photos are stored in our cloud storage on your behalf.
Voice recordings
If you use voice dictation, your recording is sent to Google's Gemini API for transcription into text. TradePulse does not store the audio recording itself.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.
